VISION
Our vision is to explore, research, and share our accumulation and potential in the fields of the History of Engineering and Technology and Technology Diplomacy, and to transform into an institute capable of attracting researchers at an international level.
MISSION
The Institute for the History of Engineering and Technology is a pioneering, thematic research institute that investigates the transition processes of technical knowledge from theory to practice through an interdisciplinary perspective. By holistically analyzing the technical heritage produced across diverse civilizations, the Institute establishes a methodological framework for the journey of science transforming into technology. Our academic priority is to construct a universal memory of engineering by examining past technical solutions within the socio-technical conditions of their respective eras. In line with this vision, we aim to be a defining voice in the global literature on the history of technology through international collaborations.
