Step 1 The student submits their thesis to their advisor via email. The thesis advisor is responsible for evaluating the results of the plagiarism analysis.
Step 2 To generate the plagiarism report, the library must first create a user account for the thesis advisor. You can request an account by emailing your NAME/SURNAME, ACADEMIC TITLE, and ITU email address to zesolta@itu.edu.tr. You may also refer to the information provided in the links below:
Step 3 You can access further information about the tool used for the plagiarism report via this link.
Step 4 The advisor shares the system's analysis results (document details, overall similarity score, list of matching sources, and the final report) with the student.
Step 5 The student submits the Turnitin plagiarism report along with their softbound thesis to the Institute Secretariat. It is not necessary to submit the entire Turnitin report to the Institute; submitting only the pages that display the similarity ratios/figures/percentages is sufficient. Each submitted page must be signed by the advisor.
